Striessnig: Molecular Properties of Calcium Channel: This review presents the tools which are proven or suggested to be probes for calcium channels; it then mentions target size analysis and photoaffinity labelling, discusses the L-type channels properties from skeletal muscle in great detail and provides a critical overview of N-type channels. In the final chapter the primary structures, models and expression are discussed. D. Pelzer, S. Pelzer, T.F. McDonald: Properties and Regulation of Calcium Channels in Muscle Cells:The objective of this review is to present an update on the properties and regulation of the classic L-type Ca channel in heart, smooth muscle and skeletal muscle cells. H. Porzig: Pharmacological Modulation of Voltage-Dependent Calcium Channels in Intact Cells:This review concentrates on the attempts that have been made to correlate an observed functional change with some defined direct interaction of an extracellular administered drug with one of the various types of voltage-dependent Ca channels.
