Analysis of Calabrese's and Shibata's Equation

The thesis provides an analysis and implementation of Calabrese's and Shibata's equation, cf. Calabrese & Shibata (2010). The purpose of this thesis is by no means to assess the domain specific or practical appropriateness of the equation, but exclusively to provide a formal and analytical treatment. Initially, Calabrese's and Shibata's Equation will be introduced. Subsequently, transformations of this equation will be highlighted in order to enable the realiziation of extensive sensitivity analyses. Finally the generated R code - for the purpose of this investigation - will be presented.
