Obesity, anxiety, cheating, anger, bipolar disease, schizophrenia etc. could show up as a disease on surface, they mean nothing else except there is something wrong in one's mind. As to what is wrong, it is really hard for ordinary people to know as often the problem is lurking in subconscious mind, which is beyond one's recognition. Human as a species has existed for quite a long and long time, and established various mechanisms to cope with major disasters and conflicts.
